Document Authentication & Notarization
We can only authenticate or notarize
documents originating from the Province of B.C. and the Yukon Territory.
Documents originating from areas other than the Province of B. C. and the
Territory of Yukon should be authenticated by the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa,
the Consulate General in Toronto or in Calgary.
Document Checklist:
Send
the following items to us in your application.
- Your ORIGINAL document with
one copy:
The document must be first notarized by a notary public or a lawyer and
then sent to the provincial authentication office (listed below) to be
legalized by the local provincial authorities.
Please keep the
document stapled if the original document is stapled.
The Chinese Consulate-General will not process the document authentication
and notarization if the document has exceeded 3 months since it is
legalized by the local provincial authorities.

documents concerning Adoption or Student's Admission.
Type B:
Documents concerning Right of Inheritance, Power of Attorney, Wills and
Housing Transfer Declaration, Estates and Properties, Trade Mark
Registration.
